The short version: GG Speech records only after you start recording. We use audio, transcript, account, and billing-status data only to provide the features you request, operate your account, and enforce service limits. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

You control recording

Microphone, tab, or system audio starts only after you choose to record and stops when you end the session.

Audio and transcripts are processed only by the services needed for transcription, AI output, sync, or support.

No data advertising

We do not sell personal data, create advertising profiles, or use microphone access to monitor you.

1. Product and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to GG Speech, also presented as the Live Transcription Chrome extension and web popup. Questions, privacy requests, and deletion requests can be sent to harryvuvietle@gmail.com.

2. Data we process

  • Microphone, tab, or system audio that you explicitly choose to record.
  • Transcripts, AI-generated output, recording metadata, language choices, custom prompts, and app settings.
  • Google or Supabase account identifiers, including your email address, when you choose to sign in.
  • A one-way identifier derived from your signed-in account or Chrome profile to enforce usage allowances.
  • Creem customer, checkout, order, product, and subscription identifiers and subscription status. GG Speech does not receive your full card number or security code.
  • Basic technical logs needed to diagnose errors, prevent abuse, secure the service, and verify billing events.

3. When the microphone is used

Microphone capture begins only after you press Record or start another user-requested capture mode. Capture ends when you stop the recording. Chrome may remember the permission you granted, but GG Speech does not begin a new recording simply because permission exists.

4. How information is used

We process information to transcribe audio, create the output format you request, save and sync History, authenticate accounts, apply plan entitlements and usage limits, confirm Creem subscriptions, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and maintain service reliability.

5. Service providers and data sharing

Depending on the feature you choose, data may be processed by the following service providers:

  • Chrome WebSpeech for browser-provided speech recognition.
  • Deepgram for selected cloud speech transcription.
  • Google Gemini for AI-formatted transcript output that you request.
  • Supabase for authentication, account profiles, synced History, usage records, and billing status.
  • Creem as the payment and subscription provider for paid plans.
  • Netlify for hosting and backend functions.

These providers receive only the information needed for the selected feature. Their own privacy terms also apply. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a legitimate business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

Your choice matters.Using WebSpeech, Deepgram, Gemini, account sync, or paid billing determines which provider receives the minimum data required for that feature.

6. Local storage, cloud storage, and retention

Guest History and settings are stored locally in Chrome. Signed-in History is stored locally and may sync to your Supabase-backed account. Data remains until you delete it, remove extension data, request account deletion, or until retention is required for security, billing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Downgrading does not automatically delete stored History.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Creem processes checkout, recurring charges, taxes, trials, cancellations, and refunds. GG Speech stores the billing identifiers, tier, billing interval, subscription status, and period dates needed to provide plan access. We do not store full payment-card credentials.

8. Your choices and deletion rights

You can use GG Speech as a guest, choose WebSpeech instead of Deepgram, choose whether to sign in, delete individual recordings from History, clear local extension data, cancel recurring billing, and request account deletion. To request deletion or access to account data, email harryvuvietle@gmail.com from your account email address. We may verify the request before acting.

9. Security

We use access controls, authenticated backend requests, webhook verification, service-role restrictions, and encrypted network connections where supported. No system is completely secure, and users should avoid recording or submitting information they do not have permission to process.

10. Chrome permissions

GG Speech uses microphone and capture capabilities for user-started transcription, storage for preferences and History, identity for optional sign-in, side-panel and window APIs for the interface, and scripting or website access to display the requested transcription panel. GG Speech does not use these permissions to sell browsing data or build advertising profiles.

11. Google API Limited Use

GG Speech's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

GG Speech also complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

12. Children and international processing

GG Speech is not directed to children under 13. Service providers may process data in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

13. Policy changes

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the product or website when appropriate.
